The Washington Dramalites are back for another Summer show! The Washington Dramalites is possibly the oldest community theatre group in Connecticut, with evidence of a production under that name in the 1870’s. The Washington Dramalites made a successful revival last summer with the production of “The Saga of the Prospector’s Daughter”. Under the direction of Doug Winkel, something truly amazing transpired as an old barn was transformed into a great theatre venue for the greater Washington and Woodbury areas.
This year they will be performing the commedia laugh out loud farce, The Servant of Two Masters. A very, very, very old comedy (written in 1746 by Carlo Goldoni) is set in Venice Italy.
