Standard Space is pleased to present The Recipe, an episodic live cooking show where a dessert is demonstrated, prepared, and served to an audience. This episode: Apple Strudel. Love, Sex, and Death; The Forbidden Fruit flambéed, filled, and rolled in a humble dough of flour and water. Kristin Worrall is a pastry artist, performer, sound designer, and musician based in New York City, born in Providence, RI. She has performed and produced her live baking show The Recipe at various venues in and around New York City. She is a founding member of Nature Theater of Oklahoma (Life and Times, No Dice, Poetics). Her sound work has been seen and heard at BAM, The Public Theater, The Kitchen, PS 122, The Wexner Center, New Ohio Theater, The Knitting Factory, The Conan O’Brien Show, the Food Network, and many others. Ms. Worrall is a Henry Hewes Design Nominee, a recipient of the A.R.T. New York Theater Grant for Sound Design, and is an alumni of the Lincoln Center’s Director’s Lab and the Watermill Center. She is a graduate of Institute of Culinary Education (Baking/Pastry Arts), The New School (MA/Media Studies), and UW-Madison (BA/English).
