This workshop with instructor Tal Fagin will deal specifically with how we, as individuals and as a society, are using technology in unhealthy ways. Together, we will explore strategies to get more control of our digital lives.
In today’s always-on world, many of us feel compelled to be plugged in and available on a nearly full-time basis—whether for work, school, family or otherwise. We use our devices for everything from alarm clocks to news sources, from snapping photos to texting to entertainment.
By putting the world (and everyone we know) constantly at our fingertips, our gadgets allow us to navigate and master our environment. And yet, when it comes to our high tech-habits, far too many of us are beginning to feel more shackled and helpless than we do free and in control.
Tal Fagin, a former corporate attorney and certified life coach, has devised this new workshop aimed at informing you of some of the more troublesome aspects of our plugged in lives, and helping you to institute lasting, meaningful, positive changes.
In this workshop you will learn:
Tools to paint a fuller, more honest picture of your tech-habit;
How to institute small, simple-but-impactful changes;
Methods to confront your “FOMO” (and other fears around disconnecting)
How stress manifests uniquely for you and how to manage it;
Strategies to replace excessive, mindless or otherwise meaningless tech-habits with healthier, more life-enhancing practices.
Ultimately, you will emerge feeling optimistic and energized, empowered, lighter and liberated. Now who wouldn’t want more of that?
